In the first quarter of 2024, the Winnipeg real estate market showed positive trends across the board. From January to March, there was a steady increase in MLS® sales, average prices, and dollar volume. Compared to the same period last year, March and the overall first quarter saw notable rises in these metrics. Residential detached, condominium, and attached homes all experienced price hikes in March and throughout the first quarter of 2024 compared to 2023

Year-to-date residential detached MLS® sales saw an 11% increase to 1,682 homes, up from 1,517 in March 2023. The average prices for residential detached properties also went up by 8% to $407,524, compared to $378,877 in the same period last year. Moreover, the total dollar volume for residential detached sales surged by 19% to $685 million, showing a significant boost from the $575 million recorded through March 2023. Overall, these numbers indicate a thriving real estate market in Winnipeg during the first quarter of 2024, marked by increased sales activity and rising property prices
